Canon HV40 camcorder

This camera can only be used with a capture card.

Canon HV40 1CMOS HDV camcorder. Can record PF24 and PF30 progressive scan (on tape, this would be in an interlaced stream, but it's still progressive) in HDV or DV codec. Can record DV anamorphically.

Can play back DV SP and HDV from Sony and Canon cameras (never tried Panasonic). Will not play back tapes recorded in DVCAM format. Has HDMI output, so can be connected to the Atomos Ninja or similar recorder for tapeless recording.
